Meditation itself is, of course, always good. Perhaps adding that after doing some of the massage, stretching and etc. would enhance the benefit. Sometimes it is very hard to "jump" directly into meditation in the middle of a work day. Sometimes, a little "warm-up" with relaxation exercises can help.

Yoga-based exercises to help prevent & alleviate the pain of repetitive strain injuries.

Meditate Right in Your Office

Human consciousness is a fine, complex instrument. It is susceptible to both external and internal stresses, and overloading it with pressure may lead to its breakdown. Human beings who are striving to make good time in the race – in other words, to succeed – today more than at any other prior time need to be mindful of their own personal culture, as it is expressed in how they conduct their lives. Leading an enlightened, sophisticated life – maintaining a personal life culture – is ultimately not about possessing certain kinds of information, but above all about understanding how to safeguard your own psyche, and take good care of it.

There is only one effective way of sustaining your own self, and that is by continuously returning to silent communion with that person, that Self, by means of regular re-immersion, for sufficient periods of time, into a state of deep tranquillity. There exists a point of immobility and tranquillity adjacent to the whirling wheel of time. The human person who seeks success in life can learn how to find and return to that point, if he or she does not wish to be ground up by time’s spokes, or tossed violently aside by its churning forces. This point or moment in space is the place where a human being merely rests quietly next to the fountainhead of life. This tranquil place in the very heart of intense activity is the only place where that person can commune with his or her Self.

If you desire this tranquillity, you can teach yourself consciously to bring yourself into a condition where it is invariably present. This is the secret of the recharging of forces – mental, physical and spiritual. Meditation, prayer, profound thought, by whatever name you might choose to refer to this endeavor, is an active effort. In fact, it is an active effort of the highest order, superior to mental or physical effort.

All that dwells in this world lives in a state of tension, vibrations and rhythms. Because it lives. The living mandalas that we have created for you, move and pulsate, as does your soul, helping you find your path to your self.

Enjoy life everywhere, even at the office

First, compress Infinity between the palms of your hands, and then compress Eternity into one hour…

By the Way…

… if you cannot sit meditating with eyes closed at your workstation in the office – because of your co-workers or supervisors being present – our Reflections are perfect for you. Gazing at them, you will derive even greater enjoyment from relaxation, and the people around you will think that you are completely absorbed in your task. While remaining seated at your computer, working, you will be merely modifying its purpose for a few minutes only, converting it into an instrument for relaxation and meditation. Meditation, by the way, is also a form of work, only it is an enjoyable form – one that allows you to learn how to know yourself. It is not to be mistaken for an idle, meaningless pastime. Regular meditation stimulates the immune system, soothes overexcited nerves, relieves stress, heals and leads you to a better acceptance of life, to greater satisfaction and a better fit with your world. The meditating brain does not sleep; rather, it immerses itself in a deep, tranquil state that is comparable to the state of contentment, even of happiness. True meditation begins, however, only when a conscious effort is made to stop the unobstructed, continuous flow of habitual thoughts.

Read a few of the lines appearing below:

And if that is sufficient, you need read no further. Simply raise your eyes and gaze upon the living Light of the mandala...

Sit wherever feels best, comfortably, completely at ease… Close your eyes, without rushing, inhale deeply, hold your breath and exhale. Smile tenderly to yourself, mindful that you love your precious human self…

Relax your face, the fingers of your hands, your body… Open your eyes and look at the Light pulsating before you. Don’t focus your eyes, merely direct your gaze forward, taking in the entire image as a whole.

If these few lines have not been sufficient, read all that is written below.

Some Advice and Clarifications >>>

For Your Eyes…

During your working day, your eyes grow tired, especially if you work at the computer. This exercise will help you relieve heightened optical sensitivity, blurry vision and eye tension.

[1] Select one of the Reflections provided in the series Your Success is in Your Hands.

[2] Sit before the screen, in such a way as if you yourself are holding a living orb in your hands. Relax your body.

[3] While gazing upon the image, slowly bring your hands together and then move them apart, feeling the energy operating as a magnet that draws them together absolutely without any effort on your part. The orb between your hands pulsates, breathes: it is alive…

[4] Having attained a substantial tactile perception of the presence of the orb in your hands, slowly raise your palms to your eyes and hold them at a distance of 3 to 5 centimeters from your eyes. Close your eyes.

[5] Relay the energy of the living orb into your eyes for some seconds. Then, mentally counting to 9, slowly begin to move your palms away from your eyes, in a way that reminds you of how one might draw tight a firm elastic fiber or band, by tugging at it smoothly and deliberately. Do not let the fiber break.

[6] Now place your palms against your eyes and hold them there, feeling the warmth envelop your eyes and your eyes appear to increase in size.

[7] Now place your left palm on the back of your neck, and hold the right one in front of your face, at eye level. Counting to 9, feel your right palm radiate energy, and your left palm receive it.

[8] Now massage the space between your eyebrows, conducting the energy down your nose and along its wings to your cheeks, and then along the front surface of your neck down to your navel.

[9] Carefully and without rushing open your eyes and smile to yourself.

Once you have learned to perform this technique before the screen, you will be able to perform the exercise, visualizing the process before your mind’s eye, and recalling to memory the sensations associated with this practice.

Ball Games for Busy and Serious People

There are specific points on the wrists and hands that represent and are associated with all the meridians and organs of the body. For that reason, the stimulation of the hands is a highly effective means for the activation of energy processes in all the organs. Whenever your work involves the domain of the hands, it causes you to be working with your entire bodily domain as a whole. Here is an exercise that you can perform over the course of the day, after your basic routine, or as a valuable exercise in and of itself. Remember to perform it with pleasure, in an upbeat and playful way…

[1] Hold out your hands in front of yourself, at the level of your heart, as you see it shown here on the screen. Feel the warmth, the heat, the pulsation developing between the palms of your hands.

[2] Gaze directly at the space between the palms. Feel an orb, or spherical ball of energy, take shape and grow in that space between your hands. Visualize the color of this orb with which you have been working.

[3] Gently move your hands apart in small increments, and then bring them back towards each other, slightly moving your fingers. Feel the heat and the energy of one palm reflected in the other. You may feel the energy flow as a slight prickling, as a coolness, or as small electrical discharges at the tips of your fingers. The flow of energy in your fingertips will in turn activate the circulation of energy in your organs.

[4] Begin moving your hands apart, palms still facing each other, outward to the right and left, as well as vertically, up and down, constantly maintaining your perception of the orb of energy and how it feels. Notice how this orb fluctuates, contracting and expanding, diminishing and increasing, like a wave. Your hands will begin to feel hot. Those whose hands are usually cold will be particularly conscious of this vivid sensation.

[5] As you clearly perceive the intensity of color, heat and pulsation in the orb you have generated between the palms of your hands, bring it into the vicinity of your belly, around the navel, and place it inside your body. Feel the heat of your orb spread throughout your physical being.

[6] Now place your hands on your knees, palms facing upward, and feel them breathe. Turn your attention consciously to an exploration of your organs: your heart, lungs, stomach, liver, pancreas, spleen, intestinal tract, kidneys, sexual organs. Feel the connection between your hands and your organs.

[7] If you have been working with a specific energy center (chakra), place your orb into the area surrounding this center. This will be your additional energy reserve. If you have been working with your orb and treating it as a thoughtform, the sensation of the orb’s presence in your hands will literally remind you that you hold All that matters to you right there, in your hands…
